Whilst I’m always delighted to be asked, I’m not a perfect podcast guest. I always think I write much better than I speak, the latter often being rambly and punctuated with plenty of “yeahs” and “ums.”
But when a customer of my wine store asked me to be on his podcast, I loved his premise so much, I couldn’t refuse. And I promise, I’ve improved my public speaking so there are minimal ums.
My friend John runs a podcast called:
This week, he interviewed my husband and I about our unconventional career paths.
My work has never been “normal.” Those of you who have been with me for a while will probably know that I quit my office job to open a wine bar and store, only to sell it seven years later along with my house and all my possessions so I could travel and work online as a writer.
All of which was only possible because I embraced minimalism and intentional living.
If you’re interested in learning more about how I did this, give it a listen:
I’d also highly recommend subscribing to John’s podcast. He’s an incredible host and he’s tackling a subject that is so, so important — our relationship with work.
Until next week, friends.
