Welcome to Simple + Straightforward
Living life on your own terms through simple, meaningful living
Yeah, so life is hard. It’s tiring and stressful and you’ve got no money and you hate your job and you feel like you’ve backed yourself into a debt-filled corner filled with junk you don’t even use.
*breathe Charlie, breathe*
OK, it might not be quite as bad as all that, but you’re definitely feeling overwhelmed sometimes, certainly a bit stressed, thinking life could be better than it is right now.
I get ya.
And I want to help make things a little bit more simple and straightforward for you.
Who is this chick, and why should you listen to her?
I’m a Brit who, at an age when everyone was telling me I should be settling down (because when you hit 35, that’s what you’re Meant To Do), sold my wine store and bar, my house, most of my possessions, and hit the road as a traveling freelance writer.
I simplified my life so much that it eventually fit into one suitcase.
Sure, my way might not be entirely right for you.
But the point is, I went out and found a way to live my life on my own terms.
I used simple, minimalist techniques in my career, my finances, and my life in order to give myself a fighting chance at bossing a life I want, rather than letting it be the boss of me.
I’d quite like to help you do this too if you’re up for it.
What should you expect from me?

Thanks for the quick response!
Hi Charlie,
I am looking for your essay on questions everyone asked you about wine - specifically, organic grapes vs regular grapes, regarding hangovers.
My sister & I are having a debate on this.
Thanks🍇
