Sometimes at Simple and Straightforward, I like to wax lyrical about the psychological and emotional effects of minimalism and simple living. But sometimes I like to write something to help you get shit done.

Today’s post is in the latter camp.

One of the first tasks most people take on when they want a simpler life is to remove the clutter in their lives. It’s a simple task - everyone can take a trash bag or donation box and fill it. But it’s not necessarily easy thanks to the emotional value we place on items.

But there are quick, easy wins out there too, items you probably won’t even notice are missing.

Here are 100 of them:

If you are going to get rid of sheets or towels, please consider donating them to the local animal shelter. They could always use them.
